Gord Dickie - President
Attended Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a focus in economics and the webmaster certificate program. Gord has a long hockey history as he played in the OHL for the Kitchener Rangers and then continued to play varsity hockey in the AUS for the Dalhousie Tigers. While at Dal, was the manager of the web authoring group and taught web application development courses. Other hobbies include golf, hockey and carpentry.
Mike Johnson - Vice President
Attended Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario with a focus in business while playing for the OHL'S Ottawa 67's. Mike was a member of the Canadian Men’s National Hockey Team in 1994 & 1996. Drafted in the 1992 NHL entry draft by Minnesota, Mike also played in the DEL German League and in the AHL. Mike has worked closely for many years with Hockey Canada in their programming divisions, public speaking and coaching. Other hobbies include golf and traveling.


Kris Griffon - Senior Programmer
Attended Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. While at Dal, was involved with programming and is very experienced as Goalline’s senior programmer. Kris is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking and canoeing.
Joey Richard - Programmer
Graduated from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a B.Sc (Hons) in Physics and Computing Science. Joey played high school hockey for Cole Harbour High and enjoys all sports.


Neil Collins - Systems Manager
Earned his B.Sc (Hons) in Business Information Technology from Bournemouth University, UK. Neil played minor rugby and has previously worked with Thales ATM and Lockheed Martin ATM in the United Kingdom. Other hobbies include watching formula 1 racing and playing pool.
Darcey Wry - Account Manager
Darcey brings a background of digital design from the Nova Scotia Community College combined with a degree in English from Dalhousie University. As lead of the support team Darcey draws from her years of experience as a computer support lab assistant and a customer service representative for Carsand Mosher to provide clients with knowledgeable, helpful and timely assistance on issues big and small.


Luke Naylor - Strategic Partnerships - Designer
 Luke played 3yrs of Junior hockey before moving on to play for both the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds and the Dalhousie Tigers. Upon completion of his BA Luke attended NSCAD University where he earned his BFA with a major in fine arts. Luke has participated in many group and solo shows such "Arena", The Art of Hockey at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and is currently represented by Argyle Fine Art in Halifax, NS.
Hayley Fox - Support Manager/Business Development
Hayley graduated from Saint Mary's University in 2009 with a Commerce degree with a major in Management and a Human Resource/Industrial Relations certificate. During her time at St. Mary's she played on both the women's varsity basketball and soccer teams.  Prior to GoalLine, Hayley waitressed and bartended at Ashbrun Golf Club.

 

 

 

 

 



Paul Betrand - Manager of Team Apparel Program
After a brief stint in junior hockey including a tryout with the Hamilton Red Wings, Paul joined the Navy in 1967 as a Physical Education and Recreation Instructor.(PERI). He attended national championships in Hockey, Fastball, Golf and Badminton before retiring from the Navy in 1995. Currently Paul is the manager of Micco Promotions and Goalline Team apparel program. In his down time he enjoyos playing golf and spending time with his 2 granddaughters.

Anthony Pasto - Business Development
Anthony's career started with Tim Hortons as a baker, then a production manager at 4 store locations for total period of 25 years. While still employed with Tim Horton's, Anthony became involved with ball hockey and ran a small outdoor ball hockey rink called Welland Street Hockey Centre, which was later expanded to a second facility. Anthony grew that business to 5 locations with over 10,000 members of all ages. Anthony was educated in Welland at Ecole Secondaire Confederation, completed the Queens University Operations Leadership and Management program and the Canadian Sales Professional Association designation program.


Jim Ryan - Business Development

Jim spent two years playing hockey at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire before transferring to Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin where he earned his B. Arts in History. There, he played varsity hockey and was involved in the community and coaching local youth hockey programs. Jim continues to coach with the Chicago Fury AAA Hockey Club. Other interests include live music and traveling.


Ryan Wheaton - Business Development
Ryan brings many years of sales experience to Goalline. He enjoys talking to new prospects and maintaining the needs of previous customers. Ryan is a huge sports fan and likes to play in as many hockey leagues as possible and comes from a family with a long history of championship golfers which includes his father, mother and grandfather. Ryan has also competed at a high level of military hockey and his favorite accomplishment is completing a 200 km bike ride in 13 hours .




Jeff Nygaard - Business Development
Jeff graduated from North Dakota State University in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and spent 10 years working in NCAA college athletics.  Since leaving college athletics Jeff has owned and operated Junior hockey franchises and still operates a youth hockey organization.  He became a GoalLine customer five years ago and his time spent assisting other organizations with web-based solutions led to his position with GoalLine.

Sarah Jackyra - Business Development

Sarah graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2010 with cum laude honors in her sport management major and business minor. She is a four year letter winner and former captain for the Lady Vols soccer team, where they made multiple appearances to the NCAA sweet 16 and earned top ten honors nation wide.  Sarah was also selected as a part of the US youth soccer National Team Program. In her spare time she enjoys running, surfing, coaching and traveling.




Josh McLennan - Business Development
Josh graduated from Saint Leo University in 2003 with a degree in sports management and was on the men’s varsity soccer and cross country team.  He has spent the last 8 years working in the sports travel industry where he built relationships with all types of sports organizations around the US and brings in over 13 years sales experience to Goalline.  Josh also runs the oldest youth soccer tournament in the nation as well as works in the commercial real estate industry specializing in sports facility development.  Anything that involves sports, traveling, and being outdoors are his other interests.







Megan Pegg - Data Analyst

Megan graduated with Honours from The Nova Scotia Community College with a certificate in Office Information Technology.  Megan enjoys horseback riding and walking in her spare time. She is also an active volunteer with Team Possibles-Nova Scotia Down syndrome Society.




Evan MacLeod - Data Analyst

Evan graduated from The Nova Scotia Community College with a Certificate in Office Administration in 2010. During his time at NSCC Evan was part of a steering committee for a conference for the International Association of Administrative Professionals, Halifax branch. In his spare time he enjoys biking, Geocaching, and hanging out at local beaches.

Shannon Lupa - Account Manager

Shannon attended Timiskaming District Secondary School and Northern College Haileybury School of Mines. For the past seven years, Shannon has worked for call centres providing excellent customer support.  In her spare time she enjoys playing Ladies and Co-ed ball hockey.

 



Jim Brown - Customer Training - Instructional Design
Jim retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police with over 34 years service in Manitoba and Nova Scotia and over 13 years experience in Major Crime Investigations. Jim was involved in training the Canadian & Foreign Police officers in major crime investigations. He lectured at the Canadian Police College in Ottawa on numerous occasions regarding Major Case Management, which involved computerization, high speed document scanning, and using optical character recognition. Jim has owed a sailboat for many years and spends much of the summer racing and cruising the beautiful Nova Scotia coastline.
Ashley Brown - Account Manager
Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary's University with a major in Criminology in 2006. Since then she has continued to work in the legal field, until starting at GoalLine in January 2011. Ashley has always loved photography, and this past July she began a year-long Digital Photography diploma program. She looks forward to her future pursuing photography and continuing to work for GoalLine. In her spare time Ashley is usually studying, but she also enjoys finding new places and things to photograph, spending weekends at her family's cottage in PEI, and motorcycling with her husband Mike.


Joy Atkinson - Accounting
Joy graduated from Acadia University with an Arts degree and a Bachelor's of Education. After graduating she owned and operated several small businesses including A&K Lick-A-Chick in Cape Breton, NS. In addition to GoalLine, Joy is a College instructor for various business courses. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, running, hiking, and traveling.
Lauren O'Connor - Account Manager
Lauren graduated from Acadia University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. While at Acadia, she played for the Women's Varsity Soccer team and Co-Chaired the Acadia Players Association. Now that she is back in Halifax, she is coaching the Halifax Grammar School’s Junior High Girls Basketball team and has been training for the Chicago Men’s Health Urbanathalon.
